This is how I fixed it on my computer. Hope you will read other people's comments and solutions to help you out.
NOTE: Originally tested on (Feb 2011) Vista Home64, Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.13 and IE8
Follow the instructions here:
1. Go to a Youtube "CHANNEL" (either yours or anybody's). Not the normal Youtube play page!
2. Right click on the video screen, you will see a menu (... Settings, Global settings, About..)
3. Choose Settings. A pop up window show Adobe Flash Player Settings.
4. Uncheck the Enable hardware accelaration (Display tab), then click Close.
5. Go to the normal Youtube page and play your videos.
6. Finished. (If still not working then read the other topics below).
THE EXACT MENU AFTER YOU RIGHT CLICK ON THE VIDEO SCREEN:
Copy video URL
Copy video URL at current time
Copy embed html
Report playback issue
Take speed test
Stop download
Show video info
Copy debug info
